Tito Chavarria

Tito Chavarria, age 74 of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away September 09, 2023 at Desert Springs Nursing Home. 

Mr. Chavarria was born May 02, 1949 to Daniel Chavarria and Margaret Perdoza in Roswell, New Mexico. 

A memorial service will be held in honor of Tito on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Eternal Life Church with Pastor Alfredo Hernandez Jr officiating. Cremation will be taking place at a later date. 

Over the years Tito earned his money by shining shoes and selling newspapers in Artesia, New Mexico where he grew up. Later in his life he worked detailing vehicles for his family and friends. In 1973 Tito met the love of his life Frances and they got married. They had one son, Gabriel Titus. Tito enjoyed coaching his sons baseball team when his son was younger. Over the years they enjoyed watching sports on TV together. Titos favorite sports were football and basketball and his favorite teams were the San Francisco 49ers and San Antonio Spurs. The way into Titos heart was through his stomach. He loved to eat hamburgers, but his favorite was the meatloaf Frances would make. Tito and Franes would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in just two months. Tito will be missed and forever loved by all those who knew him. 

Tito is survived by his wife of 50 years Frances Chavarria of Hobbs. Brother; Steve Delgado of Artesia, New Mexico. 2 grandchildren; Ismael Chavarria of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Kionna Chavarria of Hobbs. 2 great-grandchildren; Aziel and a little boy who will be born in February. 

Tito was preceded in death by his parents; Daniel and Margaret. Son; Gabriel Chavarria. 4 sisters; Ester Carrera, Felipa Carrera, Balbina Sanchez, and Refugia Jacobo. 2 brothers; Larry Hernandez and Felix Hernandez. 

Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
