Whitney Denise Meridyth, also known as Whit, passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 36 in Lubbock, Texas.
She was born on November 30, 1987, in Hobbs, New Mexico.
A viewing will be held for the public from 4-6pm on January 31, 2024, followed by a private viewing from 6-8pm at Calvary Memorial Funeral Home in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Funeral services will take place at Taylor Street Church of Christ on February 1st @1 pm. Committal burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Whitney is survived by Donald Session, Donald session Jr(Dee), Jovvii Session, Marlisa Smith, and Mark Meridyth Smith. Nieces; Ahlia Brooks and Alana Brooks.
Whitney was preceded in death by Mother; Lisa Meridyth. Grandparents: Joe Meridyth and Billy Session. Carrie B Rogers and Bessie Session. Numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Whitney was a beloved individual who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Whitney was known for her vibrant and lively personality. She had a great sense of humor and a caring nature that touched the lives of those around her. Her outgoing attitude and loving personality made her a joy to be around. Additionally, she was incredibly intelligent and sharp-witted. Whitney received her education at Southern Heights Elementary for primary school and later attended Hobbs High School. She furthered her education at New Mexico Junior College. Education was important to her, and she always had a thirst for knowledge. Whitney worshipped at Roxanna Street Church of Christ, where she found solace and strength in her faith. Her connection to her place of worship was an important part of her life.
Whitney Denise Meridyth will be remembered for her vibrant personality, caring nature, and sharp intellect. She leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be held dear by her loved ones.
Services are under the direction of Calvary Memorial Funeral Home of Hobbs, New Mexico.
